Pro Shop Hours for September: 6:30 AM- 6:00 PM

Great “ Golf “ article in August 2019 issue! We are excited and proud to read about Ian Gilley’s golf business career in an 8 page article. Very interesting!

Mission Inn Projects:

We begin the repaving of the roads around the hotel complex at the end of August. Las Colinas #2 tee has been leveled and will be sodded shortly. El Dorado (our 18 hole executive course experience) will open at the end of August. The Spanish Conquistadors were fascinated by the legend of El Dorado and the search for gold. We believe El Dorado will be perfect for golfers of all levels.

Junior Golf:

Lake County Junior Golf has just completed its Summer programs in golf and tennis. It started in June and just finished with the Lake County Junior Open Tournament and Pool Party with hot dogs, ice cream and all the toppings. Juniors received their final trophies and ribbon awards. Kids had lots of fun!

Special thanks to our Mission Inn Golf and Tennis Staff for their teaching expertise and work with the juniors. Thanks especially to Program Directors, Lou Colon & Cesar Villarroel. Our junior auction event makes this all possible so that the summer long programs are free to children of Lake County.

Did you know that our Superintendent Danny Parks learned golf at this Program?!

Renting Practice Facility:

We have an opportunity to reserve the Gilchrist practice facility for you, golf and social members, for the month of August. The idea came up from you, the members, in conversations with the resort owners.

Monthly fees are:

Golf member – $30.00 per month
Social member – $75.00 per month (includes range balls)

The opportunity is yours. If interested, please contact Michael or Lou at the Pro Shop to sign up.

Our Head Professional is proud that some of his staff are getting scholarships to College!

Nicole who has joined the Pro Shop Staff played #1 at Auburn. Keep in mind that now is a great time to take lessons from Lou, Gary Anderson, Rob Marton, Randall Noonan, and now, Nicole Quinn.

Our teaching staff for the junior summer program has never been better – Nicole #1 Auburn, Ashley Mangan FSU Golf Team, Britney Managan UVA Women’s Golf Team, Ja’Davia McCallum Savannah State Women’s Golf Team.
