Testimonials
We spent our wedding weekend at Mission Inn Resort for our two-day event! From our first visit, Jessica Lynn Castrejon helped create the vision for our dream wedding. Marina del Rey for our Hindu ceremony was her suggestion and it made for a picturesque backdrop for the festive bright colors. The path made for a grand entrance for my groom on his horse for the baraat. Everyone raved about the amazing Indian food at lunch! I love that the venue offers multiple sites so our guests were able to experience different settings for each part of our wedding. Our traditional ceremony on the second day was at Plaza de la Fontana as the sun started setting. It’s so beautiful we didn’t need much ceremony decor. Cocktail hour in the Plaza de las Palmas courtyard was a selling point for my husband. He loved the market lights and wrought iron tables. Our reception was at La Hacienda and it was a unique and perfect room to offer an intimate feel to a wedding of over 130 guests. With most guests coming from out of town, it was definitely a a huge plus that everyone could stay in the same place. We were able to enjoy the resort and our spend time with our guests all weekend. Most importantly, Jessica Maertchik was such a pleasure to work with through the entire process. She brought the vision of our dream wedding to life. With multiple events, she was attentive to detail and so responsive! We are so thankful to her and the entire team at Mission Inn for making the weekend so spectacular!
Nice relaxing spot for lunch before or after golf. Decent menu with a good selection to choose from. The Pulled pork sandwich was very good. Nice too see Guiness on tap.
Seafood buffet was a real treat with shrimp, sushi and prime rib. The service was great and staff very helpful. The selection of fish was nice. The salad was delicious. The view of the course was majestic. A very nice dinner indeed was had.
We ate at this restaurant a few times while we were there for a long weekend. Food was very good and staff was excellent. Nothing fantastic but very good.
From the service to the food, this brunch was fantastic! Great location with wonderful views! A person could find anything they want for breakfast, lunch or dinner here because there is such a variety. I would definitely recommend this location for a Sunday gathering.
We enjoyed delicious waffles one morning at LaHacienda Restaurant. They were served hot, crispy yet fluffy inside. The juice was freshly squeezed and the service was great. Relaxing and Nice way to start the day
48 yr anniversary, 17 yr anniversary and a birthday! Awesome buffet, excellent servers and fantastic food selection!
We had a small gathering of about 30 people and the service was very good and the food was excellent.
We have eaten here many times and it is always delicious. The staff is courteous and we never wait long for service. It is a beautiful restaurant looking out on the golf course, quiet and refined décor. Truly a lovely spot for a wonderful dinner.
One of the nice things about staying for a golf week end is that you do not have to leave the grounds to have a really nice dinner. The food and service are top notch.
I enjoyed every aspect of my stay at Mission Inn Resort. The food, the room, the golf. All were absolutely top notch. The seafood buffet on Saturday night was as good as it gets, every thing was very good, especially the bread pudding for dessert. I highly recommend this as a golf destination or a get away destination.
It’s a gorgeous property. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff was very helpful. Dinner at the pub was pretty good and breakfast was tasty. I was there for a wedding so I didn’t have much time to really do much outside of that but I loved the beautiful, peaceful property.
We have eaten there 3x on Thanksgiving for their Buffet. Awesome, but little on pricely side. We go there for most major holidays as they put on an excellent buffet. You need to make reservations early, as they fill up fast.
We visit Mission Inn every couple of years. It has always been great, but the place was even better this year. The golf courses remain excellent. The rooms, restaurants, pool, etc. are also excellent. While we didn’t take advantage of them they now have a marina and a skeet range. Mount Dora is only 1/2 hour away if you want some diversity.
My husband played in a tournament and I visited friends in nearby towns. We enjoyed the meals here, and our guest room with outside balcony was very nice with views of the golf course. Other landscaping was pretty and special.
We recently spent a belated Valentine’s day and an early anniversary here and as always were treated to superb service and kind and compassionate hospitality. The grounds are awesome as is the staff in every department. We had an incredible meal at El Conquistador Restaurant where the quality of service always exceeds even the last visit!! The menu is varied and the prices very reasonable. The quality of the food is excellent and prepared with great detail and served with flair!!
Amazing food!! Delicious waffles and omelets and a wide variety of other choices. Beautiful piano music played while enjoying your food and view overlooking golf course. Best to make reservations but you can possibly chance getting in.
Both golf courses are enjoyable and offer a challenge in a fair way. Rooms are very nice, spacious, clean and attractively decorated. Restaurants are comfortable with attractive decor and delicious food. The grouper was excellent.
We had the seafood buffet at Knickers. It was fabulous!! The variety of seafood. Prime rib. Ham. Fish and sushi proved to be a delicious evening of food enjoyment. Need I say there was a multitude of crab legs served with drawn butter. Yummy. The lobster bisque excelled! If I said if one had room for dessert nothing was lacking and the pallet was satisfied. Enjoyable atmosphere and too much food but I frankly did not see any one complaining. Great great and worthwhile
Was visiting relatives in the area and found Mission Inn Resort. It is about 30 minutes from Orlando in Howey in the Hills. It is a fabulous hotel. The grounds are beautiful. The architecture is Spanish. Our visit was during a very cold spell so the hotel was empty (we loved it). I had a first floor room which had a small screened-in patio that overlooked the golf course. The decor is Spanish colonial. In addition to the golf course there is a spa, pool and other amenities one finds at a luxury resort. The food was delicious and healthy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Price was extremely reasonable .
My wife and I were there for a wedding and really enjoyed the stay there. Staff was excellent at all the restaurants and places we went to. Excellent Spa. The grounds were very beautiful and well maintained. I would go back.
Difficult and excellent golf. 3 courses to choose from. They are sure to challenge every aspect of your game. Restaurants are all excellent and decently priced. Rooms are remodeled and beds are comfy. I have been here more then 7 times and will continue that trend.
So much to do at this resort including excellent restaurants, biking, walking trail, spa, golf, tennis, work out facility, trap and skeet shooting and fishing. Something here for everyone to enjoy! It’s located in a very small town in the rolling hills of Florida. Great place to hold an event for just to visit with family and friends.
The Saturday night Buffet was very nice, They had a nice variety for just about anybody. Meats, seafood, pasta, salad bar, soup, dessert bar just to name a few things. Would go again next year when I’m in town. Our waiter was fairly new but you couldn’t tell he did such a good job.
Five Course Wine Dinner was fantastic, 5 wines paired perfectly with the courses. The main course of Bison was cooked perfectly and was fantastic. I will definitely be going back. The resort is full service with golf courses, restaurants open to the public and amazing grounds.
I drove up there to officiate a wedding. Brought my triplets with me. It was very different from the normal Marriot or Hyatt hotels. Beautiful surroundings. Room was great. Nice touches. A big storm rolled in so we ate at the on site restaurant. The desserts were to die for. Great wedding location. Loved it.
We were going to a party nearby and decided at the last minute to get a room. Beautiful resort with golf course, tennis courts, spa, bikes, pool and several restaurants. Our room overlooked the pool and golf course with a screened balcony to enjoy the view. It is off season so we nearly had the place to ourselves. The room was nicely appointed with a comfortable king bed and elegant bathroom with nice toiletries and 6 sets of towels. Breakfast was a la carte or a tasty buffet with made to order omelette. Other restaurants we have enjoyed on previous visits. Staff was friendly. Totally perfect mini vacation. Hidden treasure not to be missed.
The room was large enough and had a balcony with a view of the golf course. Very pleasant to sip morning coffee there. The breakfast buffet at the La Hacienda was terrific. A great variety of fresh fruit and waffle and omelet station. Service was impeccable. We were even offered coffee or juice to go upon leaving. The attention to the little details was really appreciated. The spa was also a great place for a facial. Was offered a mimosa upon arriving. Very nice touch.
