What’s a Wedding Weekend?

In years gone by wedding consisted of a ceremony, generally at a local house of worship; sometimes a reception in the adjacent hall or local banquet.

Boy, have times changed!

Not only are couples considerably more transient, but we are seeing that their parents might not live in the same location where the couple’s were raised. Family and friends are traveling in from all over the country and often all over the world.

While the focus is still on the importance of the ceremony, the wedding is now more than a single event. Couples want to spend time with their family and friends; they are hosting multiple events and having the convenience of a single location with lots of activities, multiple venues.
