Jessica has her bachelor’s degree in event management.  She joined Mission Inn’s Wedding Team after working with Disney Catered Events. She has also worked with some of the top catering and event planning companies in Central Florida.

So, we wanted to find out more about Jessica –

Mission Inn Resort: What is your favorite thing/part about weddings?

Jessica:  Planning the wedding takes months of dedication and commitment.  I love the moment when the couple sees their vision on wedding day all come together! Seeing how happy the couple is when all of their hard work has come to life. First dances make me happy too!

Mission Inn Resort: What is your favorite spot at the resort?

Jessica: Plaza de la Fontana is such a pretty area. You can have a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony or an intimate reception. The flowers are always changing and the market lighting at night is so romantic.

Mission Inn Resort: Three things that make you happy?

Jessica:  I love dogs, especially my fur baby, Pumpkin. He is the sweetest thing! I am happiest when spending quality time with my soon-to-be-husband, Jose. He is a culinary genius and comes up with the most unique creations. I enjoy being his taste tester! I have a super close-knit group of gal pals that I adore. We get together as much as we can, given our busy schedules.

Mission Inn Resort: What did you want to be when you grew up?

Jessica: On my first trip to Florida at the age of fourteen, we visited SeaWorld and this is a trip I will never forget. The dolphin interaction captured my heart which made me really interested in becoming a marine biologist.

Mission Inn Resort: What is your favorite cake flavor?

Jessica:  In France, we have a special cake called Paris-Brest.  It is my all-time favorite cake.  It is a choux pastry filled with praline mousseline cream and decorated with sliced almonds.  If you are ever in France, you HAVE to try it!

Mission Inn Resort: Where are you from?

Jessica:  I was born in the beautiful Alps in Evian-les-Bains, France.  This is where Evian water comes from.  We have a fountain in Evian that supplies Evian water for free, which is pretty awesome!

I grew up close to the Swiss border and spent my summers at our family home in St. Tropez, France.  I didn’t move to the U.S. until I was 15.  I still have a lot of friends and family there.  I love when I get the opportunity to go home and visit!

Mission Inn Resort: What is your favorite social media app?

Jessica:  Snapchat!  I just love making memories and sharing it with those closest to me. Checking out the different filters each day is a must!

Mission Inn Resort:  What’s your favorite holiday?

Jessica:  Definitely, Christmas. Christmastime brings out the best in people and is such a cheery time of year. Jose and I enjoy checking out all of the different light displays.

Mission Inn Resort:  What are your favorite things to do in your free time?

Jessica:  I love, love, love the parks. Thanks to friends and Family, I go to Disney quite a lot, especially for the Food & Wine Festival.  I’m also a bit of a Harry Potter geek, so I have a soft spot for Universal too.  Jose and I enjoy CrossFit workouts together; we are each other’s best cheerleaders.
