Tucked away and hidden down a winding drive surrounding on either side by lush tropical greenery, hundred year old oaks and dangling Spanish moss is Mission Inn Resort’s Marina del Rey. The Marina del Rey is the premier Orlando waterfront ceremony location.

Situated on the shores of peaceful Lake Harris, the Marina transports visitors back in time. Surrounded by natural beauty reminiscent of Old Florida, you’ll find giant, towering cypress trees dramatically draped in Spanish moss, romantic low hanging oaks and a wooden boardwalk that journeys through the marshlands into a stunning green oasis.

One of the three Orlando waterfront ceremony options at Marina del Rey is on the Cypress lawn in front of the grand Cypress trees. The water on Lake Harris glistens in the background as couples join lives in front of these silent giants. The grandeur of the trees is dramatically captured through photography on wedding day as “I Dos” are exchanged. This waterfront ceremony option works great, whether you have 40 guests or 140.

For the couple who is looking for a more intimate waterfront ceremony option at the Marina del Rey, the low hanging oak is as romantic as it guests. Vows are spoken and kisses are given between the newlyweds, as they stand, tucked underneath the oak. The tree creates an intimacy and warmth as it “hugs” the guests, who are looking on at the ceremony, with natural Florida greenery and the sparkling lake in the background.

The front lawn of the Marina offers a combination of all of the beauty of the other waterfront ceremony spaces, with oaks and cypress, moss and palms and a stunning view of Lake Harris. It is perfect for the couple that is utilizing the cypress lawn for their outdoor wedding reception.

The natural setting of the Marina makes it a perfect spot for a rustic wedding. The cypress lawn looks stunning with church pews and a wooden cross or whiskey barrels and gorgeous fresh floral. The Marina has even been the home of a fun mid-western themed wedding.

If you want to arrive in style on your big day, the marina is the place to make a big entrance. Couples can enter by horse & carriage, antique car or even by seaplane.

When couples say “I Do” to Marina del Rey as their waterfront ceremony location, it opens the doors of creativity for those looking to include fun unity ceremonies. Marina couples have incorporated extra greenery by having a plant potting ceremony, built crosses to bring into their new homes and even shared shots of their favorite liquor at the altar.
