Summer Donation Drive Benefiting Lake Hills School
Mission Inn Resort & Club is pleased to share details on their summer community donation drive in support of Lake Hills School. The storied Central Florida resort will be accepting donations on behalf of the school at each of their restaurants this summer and granting a 15% discount toward the bills of all guests who participate.
“For the past several years, Mission Inn Resort has partnered with Lake Hills School and hosted an annual holiday party in December for the students,” said Cindy Staley, General Manager of Mission Inn Resort & Club. “This has become a beloved tradition among our staff, and I knew it would be something we continued under my leadership. After meeting with Robin Meyers in person, I felt there could be additional ways we’d support the school’s important mission and vital role in our community.”
Lake Hills School’s mission is to provide students with opportunities to reach their full potential by providing a comprehensive education designed to meet their individual needs through personalized learning experiences. Their vision is to foster a school culture that believes all students can learn and that possibilities are endless.
“We service approximately 200 students at Lake Hills School with severe cognitive disabilities, from three to twenty-one years old,” shared Dr. Robin Meyers, Principal of Lake Hills School. “Most of our students are non-verbal and unable to care for themselves independently, so our everyday needs are drastically different than other public schools. We are incredibly fortunate to have such generous neighbors in our small community that continue to exceed our wildest expectations.”
Make plans to dine at El Conquistador, La Margarita, La Hacienda, or Nicker’s Clubhouse this summer and donate one of the requested items below at the hostess stand to receive 15% off your meal. The donation drive will end on Monday, September 4, 2023.
