Shooting for PAR!

Mission Inn Resort is well- known for its premier golf courses and golf academies. Beyond the fairways, there is much more to see and do at this Central Florida resort. From a world class spa, to the Har-Tru tennis complex, marina, fitness center and a large lap pool and refreshment cabana, guests can relax or workout in a tropical paradise. But there is one other notable activity popular with many our resort guests- the trap and skeet range. Mission Inn offers beginning shooters trap and skeet targets in a stationary setting or as an18 station “competitive clay” shooting course for more experienced huntsman.

The El Cazador Trap and Skeet Range offers guests a unique shooting challenge. In trap, a single machine throws targets down range as the competitor moves through five various linear stations. In skeet, two machines throw targets across the shooters’ field of vision. The 30-45 minute beginners program includes various targets, shells, guns, eye and ear protection, safety and instructional advice for $39 per person. Mission Inn takes the shooting experience further over a two hour, 18 hole sporting clay course for those interested in a complete all-terrain experience. Each station positions moving clay targets aimed at replicating different outdoor game, from hopping rabbits to leaping deer, to airborne birds in flight. The immersive experience provides the approximation of a real world hunting trip. Buddy golf groups have added the shooting option to their golf packages and corporate groups like Bombardier Aircraft and Farm Bureau Insurance include it in addition to fishing, golf and spa.

Here are some important facts about Trap and Skeet range at Mission Inn:
