Bass are on the move in the Harris Chain Lakes making it prime fishing time for both novice and experienced anglers!

Did you know Mission Inn Resort & Club has its own marina, bass boats, and fishing equipment? Marina del Rey is the nautical center for Mission Inn on Lake Harris, the largest in the eight-lake chain. Resort guests can rent equipment at the marina to go fishing during their stay, or bring their own boat and supplies. The marina’s 55 slips accommodate boats up to 20 feet and have water and electric hook-ups. Marina del Rey even can provide guests with required fishing licenses!

The annual Big Bass Tour returns to the waterways of Lake County from Feb. 7-9. Registered anglers will be competing for $135,000 in prizes and payouts during the three-day event. Tournament spots are filled, but spectators can attend weigh-ins at Hickory Point Recreational Facility in Tavares to get a glimpse of the big fish that competitors are catching.
