It’s spring at Mission Inn, and that means the ospreys in Florida are nesting again.

Each year, breeding pairs of the large fish hawks return to their usual nests on posts high above the resort to hatch and raise their broods. Mission Inn’s OspreyCam provides a bird’s eye view inside the nest of one osprey family. This year, the female laid three eggs and she and her mate are rearing three hatchlings. The young ospreys eventually will venture out on their own. The parents, who normally mate for life, will return to their nest next year to raise another brood.
