A sterling golf destination
Early spring is a popular time of year for buddy groups to travel to Mission Inn and play a few rounds of golf in our warm weather. This month we welcome several special groups, including one that has chosen to celebrate its 25th anniversary at Mission Inn!
The Myrtle Masters is a group of dozens of friends who leave the cold weather behind in western Pennsylvania each spring and make a pilgrimage south to Myrtle Beach, S.C., to compete in a friendly golf tournament. The winner is presented with the coveted Myrtle Masters green plaid jacket to wear proudly until a new champion claims it the following year.
Pictured on front: Myrtle Masters champion Brock Harsh of Blairsville, Pa., with brother Scott Harsh and father Frank Harsh, sports the winner’s jacket after his tournament victory last year. He’ll defend his title this month at Mission Inn.
Because 2019 is a milestone year for this group, they decided to up their game and travel farther south to Central Florida to experience the lush fairways and greens of Mission Inn’s championship El Campeón and Las Colinas courses. Maybe Mission Inn will become their new tradition!
We also welcome golf groups coming to Mission Inn this month for the collegiate George Mason Spring Fling Invitational and the corporate Horizon League Championships. Please join us in extending a warm Florida welcome to our visitors from the North!
