Central Florida Golf Students Receive High Honors
The Future Collegiate World Tour is a leading Junior Golf Tour for Boys and Girls competing in golf events throughout the United States, with players from over thirty countries participating. As the school year ended, Adam Friedman and Niko Voutsaras, both students at the Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy in Clermont, FL with golf headquarters at the Mission Inn Resort, were honored by the FCWT.
Adam Friedman was awarded the FCWT 2016 For the Good of the Game Award and First Team All-FCWT Recipient.
“I was surprised, honored and humbled to receive the ’FCWT For the Good of the Game’ Award honoring the player who displays the highest strength of character in the game of golf and the ‘First Team All-FCWT’. My coaches at GGGA have instilled in me the hard work and mental fortitude to stay in a game until the very end. Obviously, the 5 overtime holes at FCWT’s Falcon’s Fire this year were a testament to that! I’m so proud to wear the GGGA logo and represent for the Academy and I loved playing every event that I could on the FCWT tour”. Adam Friedman, Class of 2016
Friedman will be attending Florida Atlantic University in the Conference USA for Coach Angelo Sands.
Niko Voutsaras was awarded the FCWT 2016 East Region Player of the Year and First Team All-FCWT Recipient
“The FCWT awards I received for being the “FCWT 2016 East Region Player of the Year” as well as the “First Team All-FCWT” meant a lot to me because it showed my hard work payed off! Attending GGGA changed my life! I could not have progressed as much as I have in the game of golf without the academy. My coaches always gave 120% effort while working with me and in return I wanted to show how much I cared and appreciated their efforts by always trying my best. These awards go to my coaches and all the staff at GGGA because I never would have achieved the awards without GGGA.” Niko Voutsaras, Class of 2016
Voutsaras will be attending Robert Morris University in the Northeast (NEC) Conference for Coach Jerry Stone.
